Website requirements for a SEBI registered RA or IA
Regulation 19A of both sets of regulations requires a functional website. It also carries your compliance audit status, your MITC and your AI disclosure. This applies to a research analyst or investment advisor alike.

Regulation 19A of the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations and of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations requires a functional website. Registrants confirmed the details to BSE by 30 June 2025, and a new registrant does the same.
What has to appear on it
- The compliance audit status, with any adverse findings and the action taken.
- The Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC). An adviser's advisory agreement must include them, and an analyst discloses the terms and takes consent before any service or fee.
- A disclosure of the extent of any AI use, if you use AI tools.
- The words "part-time investment adviser" or "part-time research analyst" in client-facing material, if you registered part-time.
AI disclosure
A registrant using AI tools is solely responsible for the security, confidentiality and integrity of client data and for advice based on AI output. Advisers disclose the extent of AI use under regulation 18(9), and analysts under regulation 19(vii).
MITC consent
The MITC is standardised by the industry standards forum with BSE and SEBI. Consent can be given in person or in any legally acceptable mode, including a DigiLocker Aadhaar e-signature. Institutional investors and qualified institutional buyers need the disclosure but not the consent.
Note
SEBI's text we have read says the website must be functional and carry the items above. We have not found a SEBI page-by-page layout for it, so we do not describe one.
