List of dates and events and annexure index for your complaint

How do I prepare the list of dates and annexures for a consumer complaint?

A numbered list of dates and events and an index of annexures captioned for your complaint, with a sheet on marking and filing them.

  • List of dates and events
  • Index of annexures
  • Before you file

e-Jagriti asks for a synopsis with a list of dates and events, and for each annexure uploaded with its title (portal workflow chart v1.0, 9 April 2025). It publishes no prescribed format for these documents and suggests you check with your Commission (e-Jagriti FAQ 10).

The pack builds the two documents from the entries you type. The list of dates and events is a numbered table with the date, the event and, if you give one, the document that proves it. The index lists each annexure as A-1, A-2 and so on with its title and date, and a blank column for the pages.

You mark each document with its number on the first page, then number the pages of the whole set in one run and write each annexure's pages into the index. On e-Jagriti you upload each annexure as its own file with its title, in the order of the index.

If the registry points out a defect, you get fifteen days to cure it (Procedure Regulations, reg 9). A list that matches your documents date for date avoids most of them.

Common questions

Can the list go into the synopsis that e-Jagriti asks for?

Yes. The list of dates and events can go into the synopsis as it stands. Check every date against the document it comes from before you sign.

Does the pack read my uploaded documents?

No. It orders and numbers the entries you type. It makes no legal statement and adds nothing you did not give it.

Does the pack work for cases outside consumer complaints?

It is built for a consumer complaint, and it also suits any other case where the forum asks for dates and annexures. The caption carries the names of your complaint and the opposite party.

What if my annexures start at a number other than A-1?

If annexures A-1 and onward are listed elsewhere, the index can start at the next number. Keep both lists in one numbering.
