A research analyst must disclose the terms of service and take the client's consent before any service or fee. Regulation 24(6) of the RA Regulations and para 1.12 of the RA Master Circular of 6 February 2026 say so, and consent can be taken in person or by Aadhaar e-signature through DigiLocker. The terms follow Annexure B of that circular, which has 13 items with the Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC).

An investment adviser must profile the client's risk before advising. Regulation 16 of the IA Regulations sets the information to collect, and para 2.2 of the IA Master Circular requires the client's consent on the completed profile, by registered email or physical document, before advice is given.

Both sets carry fee and payment terms. For an individual or HUF client who is not an accredited investor the fixed fee limit is ₹1,51,000 a year per family, and the limit on a percentage of assets under advice is 2.5% a year per family. The pack checks the fee you type against these limits. Annexure B is printed word for word, with the gaps filled from your answers. An investment adviser's agreement with the MITC is a separate document.

Common questions

Can I reword the research analyst MITC?

No. The pack prints Annexure B of the RA Master Circular word for word and fills only the gaps with your details, such as your registration date and grievance contacts.

How much advance fee can a research analyst take?

Para 1.9(f) of the RA Master Circular allows an advance of up to one year, but the MITC the analyst must print says one quarter. The text cannot be reworded, so the pack accepts at most three months of advance for a research analyst.

What does the investment adviser set contain?

A risk profile questionnaire with the client's consent on the assessed profile, fee and payment terms, and a sheet to check before you advise. The IA Master Circular also says no free trial and no part payments, and that fees come through banking channels.

Does the fee limit apply to every client?

It applies to individual and HUF clients who are not accredited investors. The pack asks the type of client and checks the fee only where the limit applies.

Can I see the document before I pay?

Yes. Fill in your details and the page shows the first page of each document with your own answers in it. You pay only if it is what you need.

Can I change the document after I download it?

Yes. Each document comes as a Word file you can edit and a PDF you can print. You can also change your answers and prepare it again before you pay.

What if the payment goes through and the documents do not open?

The page checks the payment again and opens the documents on the same payment, so you are never charged twice. If they still do not arrive, write to us within 7 days and we refund the full amount.

Can you send or file it for me?

Yes. After you download, ask us to take the next step and we handle the sending or filing for you.

Not sure it applies to you?Check with the free SEBI RA and IA Registration Document Checklist first. Nothing you enter is stored.
