An IEC that's gone inactive usually means one thing: the annual DGFT update between April and June got missed. We file the pending update for you so it's back in force.
DGFT requires every IEC holder to confirm their details electronically each year, between 1 April and 30 June, even if nothing has changed. Miss that window and the IEC deactivates automatically from 1 July. A deactivated IEC functions the same as having no IEC at all for import/export purposes.
